Macbuntu – Mac OS X Transformation Package ;)
Cenie wysoko prace ekipy Ubuntu – Debiana bardziej
Have fun!

Lol, totally forgot about it. Installation partly depends on the user’s account. Temporarily run install.sh on the second user account.

How about user without root access?
Maybe the next version more flexible to run at other user not depends on user account but all user on same system

Unfortunately, this is a bit more complicated than it seems. I’ll give my best to correct this problem as soon as possible.

Goodmorning!
I installed Macbuntu on Lucid Lynx and it worked like a charm. Thank you for this great application!
But…..
I now tried to install on Linux Mint 9 and install failed. It sais it is not Ubuntu and therefor it won’t install. There is something in the script, that is checking which distro I use, that is causing this problem.
Can you help me?
Sincerely
Jan

Hi,
Mint is based on Ubuntu, but has the Xfce desktop environment. Xfce is now based on GTK + library, I think it might work. If you still want to install it, use force option:
$ ./install.sh forceI have not tested Macbuntu on Mint, so I can not say too much.

I tried this already and it didn’t work….
and ehm… Mint is very Gnome…. there is a XFCE version, but standard is Gnome, which I use.

Gnome, right ;!, my mistake.
An error has occurred in the function chk_root(), in line 59, should not be | grep Ubuntu. Please, download and overwrite existing ones in the package. Here is a corrected version of the script https://sourceforge.net/projects/macbuntu/files/macbuntu-10.04/v2.1/scripts.tar.gz/download.
